It is inspired by a hand-printed wallpaper in ultramarine blue that is often found underneath all layers of wallpaper in old houses in Sweden. The blanket is also inspired by stencil paintings on the 18th-century farms Vallhovs säteri and Landsberga kungsgård in Uppland, Sweden.

Blåklint is the landscape flower of Östergötland, Sweden, and the blanket is named after this beautiful flower. The blanket is a beautiful and functional addition to any home. It can be used as a throw blanket on the couch or bed, or it can be used as a blanket to cuddle up with on a cold night.
