Why We Use Flat-Rate Shipping
As a boutique importer, our process involves more than just a label and a box. Our flat-rate shipping is designed to provide you with simplicity and peace of mind. It covers the high-touch logistics required to bring authentic goods across the Atlantic, the specialized tariffs and import handling of European wares, and the premium, protective packaging needed to ensure your treasures arrive in pristine condition.
While we may not have the massive automated logistics of big-box retailers, we offer something they cannot: personalized care. Every order is hand-packed right here in Lindström with the same attention to detail that has defined our community for generations. When you pay for shipping, you are investing in a secure, insured, and authentic journey for your Nordic finds.
Order Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 2–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
Shipping times may vary and cannot be guaranteed but typically arrive within 2-8 business days after processing.

Tracking: After your order is processed and a shipping label has been purchased you will receive an automated Tracking Update email with the tracking number and carrier information.
Carrier Info: We use USPS for most shipments. Larger orders may arrive in multiple packages. High-value orders may be sent via UPS for added security.
Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items
Please inspect all items immediately upon receipt. Claims regarding damaged, incorrect, or missing merchandise must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
To evaluate a claim, we require clear photographic evidence of the affected item, the shipping label, and all original packaging (both internal and external). Upon receipt of this documentation, the claim will undergo an internal review to determine the appropriate course of action.
Shipping Policy: All original shipping costs are non-refundable. Swedish Gift Store reserves the exclusive right to determine if a refund or credit of shipping fees is warranted based on the nature of the return and the results of our inspection.
Orders Marked "Delivered"
Swedish Gift Store is not responsible for packages that are marked as "Successfully Delivered" by the carrier but are claimed as not received. Once a package is confirmed delivered to the address provided, the risk of loss or theft passes to the customer. We recommend monitoring your tracking closely and ensuring a secure delivery location.
Premature Delivery Status
Occasionally, carriers may prematurely mark a package as "Delivered" due to internal route checkpoints or scanning errors. In these instances, the package typically arrives within 48 hours. If your package has not appeared 48 hours after the delivery notification, please contact your local shipping carrier's office. Contact us if you need assistance.
Food, Perishable & Beverage Shipping
To maintain product integrity, the following protocols apply to all specialty treats and beverages:
Protective Packaging & Seasonal Handling
During periods of extreme heat or cold, perishable items are dispatched using thermal insulation and specialized packs. For fragile confectionery, we utilize reinforced padding to mitigate transit damage. During peak seasons, shipping rates may include a Seasonal Protection Fee to cover these specialized materials.
Transit Mitigation & Weather Holds
Swedish Gift Store monitors transit routes and reserves the right to adjust shipping schedules to avoid extreme temperature fluctuations or packages remaining in transit over weekends. We ask that customers use discretion when ordering perishables during extreme weather in their local area. While we utilize professional-grade insulation, please be mindful of local conditions (e.g., extreme heat in tropical climates) that may exceed the protective capabilities of thermal packaging.
Terms & Limitations
Delivery Responsibility: Swedish Gift Store is not responsible for items that perish due to being left unattended outdoors following a successful delivery.
Claims: Concerns regarding food condition must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Claims must include photographic evidence of the affected product and all original packaging.
Shipping Fees: All original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
Returns & Exchanges – 30 Day Policy
Return Requirements
We want you to love your Swedish treasures! To be eligible for a standard return, the following criteria must be met:
Condition: Items must be returned in their original, unopened packaging and in brand-new, sellable condition.
30-Day Returns: Returns initiated within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a refund to the original payment method and do not require prior approval.
Returns After 30 Days: Returns requested after 30 days are subject to approval and may only qualify for store credit.
Restocking Fee: We do not charge restocking fees for returns that strictly adhere to these requirements. However, we reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these standards or is deemed ineligible upon inspection.

Mailing Instructions
Carefully pack and secure the item(s)—reusing the original shipping box is highly recommended. Please include your name, contact info, and order number (the original packing slip works perfectly). Mail your package to:

Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items
Let us know right away—photos help! Claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Clear photographic evidence of the affected item, the shipping label, and the original packaging is required. Once verified, we will send a replacement or correction at no extra cost.
