Free hands - Nadjea Swedish Dala Horse by Svetlana Belevich 16cm (6" tall)

We gave Svetlana free rein to create her own horse, then she paints a horse inspired by early horses where the ripple was more low-key and the lines straighter.

Svetlana has been painting horses on Nils Olsson Dalahästar since 2020, she has had an interest in crafts and painting since childhood.

Svetlana's unique Dala horse is a rarity that is only available in 100 copies, all signed and numbered. She has named the horse Nadjea. Nadjea means hope, hope for life, love and freedom. "I promise it will come," says Svetlana. The horse is a tribute to Nadjea, who is Svetlana's mother.

Warm Greetings from, Svetlana Belevich

The horse is 16 cm from ear to hoof and comes in an exclusive box with magnetic locking.

Great as a gift for someone you like very much or a wedding gift.

All horses are measured from the ground to the tip of the ear. All our products are unique, everything is made by hand, and each horse has its own character.

Swedish Traditional Handcraft

Dala horses are hand carved & painted wooden horses imported from the Dalecarlian region of Sweden.

Every Dala horse is carved by hand out of pine wood that is grown in Sweden. They are then given a base paint color, usually red, blue, black or white. Then an artist carefully brushes the floral patterns, called kurbits, onto the horse in various colors and patterns. Every Dala horse is unique in its own way since they are traditionally carved and painted.

* Sizes: All Dalas are measured from the bottom of the foot to the highest point of the head in centimeters. Sizes are approximate.

~ Ordering a Dala Online? Please note that every Dala is unique. When ordering online the base color will be the same but the kurbits will vary in colors and patterns.
